Remodels need the rough-in right
Moving a fixture means moving supply and drain lines, and drains are the constraint because they need fall. A sink can often move a short distance easily and a long distance expensively.
Getting the rough-in confirmed before tile and drywall go up is the difference between a smooth remodel and opening a finished wall.
Hard water and new fixtures
New fixtures are where hard water damage shows up first and most visibly: spotting on a new glass shower door, scale on a new finish, cartridges stiffening in a brand new valve.
If you are investing in fixtures, it is worth deciding about a softener at the same time. Protecting them is a large part of what the softener is for.

Yes, all makes and models. Have everything on site before the visit, including the parts that come in a separate box, because a missing trim kit stops the job.
Do I need a permit for a fixture swap?
A like-for-like replacement generally does not, while moving or adding fixtures usually does. Which office issues it depends on whether you are in the county or a city, and a plumber will confirm for your address.
Can a sink be moved to a different wall?
Usually yes, but the drain is what makes it expensive, because it needs proper fall to the existing line. Worth pricing before the design is locked.
