Why jurisdiction matters
Clark County is unusual in how much of the valley is unincorporated. Paradise, Spring Valley, Sunrise Manor, Enterprise, Winchester, Whitney and Summerlin South are all county rather than city, which is why the Strip itself permits through Clark County rather than the City of Las Vegas.
It matters because a water heater, a softener, a repipe and a sewer repair all need a permit, and a mailing address does not tell you which office issues it. Our permits guide sets out who handles what.
